More about We Bite
We Bite began as a speakeasy style plant shop in the Marigny in 2018 before moving to St. Roch in 2019. Our store will continue to specialize in carnivorous plants, tropicals and other unusual flora. While we outlasted our intended three month opening the store ultimately closed its location in 2021.
We were proud to facilitate a community hub of like-minded plant folks, providing workshops, active online and in-person customer service and our beloved soil bar. We look forward to serving our community again and share our taste for strange flora from around the world.

Plants
We source our plants from around the world to offer you species that are captivating, peculiar and beautiful. We have expert knowledge about our stock so that we can best match you with your green babies. We service our community to help you grow your beloved plants with online and in-person customer support.
Soil Bar
One of our most asked questions is appropriate soil mediums for your plants. We’ve made it easy by crafting our own soil to meet the needs of your plant. Bring a pot and a plant or purchase them from our shop.
Workshops
Our fun and simple workshops have become social events where you will build your own terrarium, carnivorous plant bog garden and more. We discuss interesting facts about these plants while learning to care for them.
