Store & Location

  • Where is WE BITE located?

    We’re in the Marigny neighborhood of New Orleans. Our address is 1042 Franklin Avenue, just a short walk from the French Quarter.

  • What are your hours?

    We’re open 7 days a week from 10am-5pm. We also post special event hours and holiday hours on our website and Google profile.

  • Do you have parking?

    Street parking is available nearby. We recommend allowing extra time on weekends due to neighborhood events.

  • Are you accessible by public transportation?

    Yes— there is a bus stop directly in front of our store.

Products & Availability

  • What kind of plants do you carry?

    We specialize in rare and unusual houseplants: carnivorous plants (Venus flytraps, Nepenthes, Sarracenia, Sundews, Butterworts), rare aroids (Philodendrons, Monsteras, Anthuriums), orchids, terrarium species, and seasonal specials.

  • Do you carry [specific plant, e.g., Monstera Thai Constellation]?

    Inventory changes weekly. Call or check our social media for the latest arrivals.

  • Do you sell terrarium supplies?

    Yes—moss, substrates, glass enclosures (limited), and our Green Fable kits with everything included.

  • Do you sell seeds, soil, pots, or fertilizer?

    Yes, including mixes designed for carnivorous plants and rare species. Seeds are not stocked at this time.

  • Do you offer beginner-friendly plants?

    Absolutely—our team can guide you to easy-care options and provide care tips.

Shipping & Out-of-State Visitors

  • Do you ship plants?

    Currently, we primarily sell in-store. We are exploring limited shipping options—ask our staff for the latest details.

  • Can I take plants home on an airplane?

    Yes, many customers safely travel with small plants as carry-ons. We can package them for you; just check your airline’s carry-on rules.

  • Do you offer phytosanitary certificates for international travel?

    Not at this time; we serve mostly U.S.-based customers.

Workshops & Events

  • Do you host workshops?

    Yes—terrarium builds, carnivorous plant bog gardens, kids’ events like Little Trappers, and seasonal specials. Check our events page or follow us on Instagram.

  • Do I need to register in advance?

    Yes, space is limited. RSVP online or call the shop.

  • Can kids attend?

    All of our workshops are family-friendly events. We will occasionally offer adults-only sessions but those will be clearly titled to avoid confusion.

  • Do you offer private workshops or parties?

    Yes, contact us for private events or group bookings. Email at info@webitenola.com.

Plant Care Questions

  • Can you help me care for my plant?

    Yes! Bring photos or the plant itself and we’ll offer advice.

  • Do you offer repotting services?

    Definitely. This is a favorite activity of ours as it allows us to inspect the roots and leaves and advise while treating your plant to a spa-like experience. We use only the best soils (Rosy) to ensure plant health and also responsible soil acquisitions practices (no peat in our potting soil!)

  • Do you guarantee your plants?

    We guarantee they’re healthy when purchased. Care after leaving depends on proper conditions—we provide care instructions for all plants. Our WE CARE program invites you to allow us to help you keep your plant healthy and happy — included free with your purchase.

  • Do you collaborate with artists or local businesses?

    Yes—our store is part of the New Orleans creative community. Reach out for collaborations.

  • Can I take photos in the shop?

    Absolutely—we love when visitors share their photos. Please tag us @webitenola!

  • Do you sell gift cards?

    Yes, in-store and online.
